In the world today and even in the church, you will encounter the subtle and not so subtle workings of the enemy of God’s best for you: believing “little white lies,” compromise, living way below God’s best for your life. Beloved one, call your spirit to its place of intimacy and authority in Christ, and tell your soul and body to align with your spirit (1 Thes 5:23).
Let the Word of God in Psalm 15 invite you to come into his presence and live there. Let God stir within you those things required so that you cannot be shaken.
Listen to God’s Word for you in Psalm 15.
1 LORD, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?
2 He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart
3 and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellowman,
4 who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the LORD, who keeps oaths even when it hurts,
5 who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.
Beloved one, God is inviting you to feel his presence. He is inviting you to live with him as a person of honesty, genuineness, and sincerity, both morally, ethically, and spiritually. Proverbs 11:3 NAS says, “The integrity of the upright will guide them.” Be blessed to put on the whole armor of God, and let your Father sanctify you in his truth.
Be blessed with purity of heart that Jesus works in you, for out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. Be blessed as you receive the Word of God to cleanse you “by the washing with water through the Word” (Eph. 5:26). Be blessed to let the Word do in you what your Father intends.
Be blessed to let God control your words. I bless your tongue to sing of God’s righteousness (Ps 51:14) and tell of his righteous acts (Ps 71:24). Be blessed to speak life-giving words and to let the praises of God be continually in your mouth. Be blessed to fear the Lord and honor those who fear the Lord. Psalm 25:14 says, “The Lord confides in those who fear him; he makes his covenant known to them.” I bless you to always be zealous for the fear of the Lord. I bless you to honor God in everything you do and all you say.
Be blessed with the blameless character of one who wants to be intimate with Jesus. Be blessed with the manner of life that can draw near his presence and live on his holy hill. Be blessed with integrity that ushers you into fellowship with holy God. Be blessed with God’s approval and security. Be blessed to know that you will never be shaken as you live in harmony with God’s ways.
Be blessed in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit who invites you to draw near to him (James 4:8).
