If you had certainty and security that you could not be defeated, how would you live your life differently? Psalm 91 describes Biblical confidence and poise. In some Bibles, it is subtitled “The Security Of The One Who Trusts In The Lord.” The heart of it is the protected place of abiding safely in God,…
We had a plague of chipmunks at our house. They were making our yard “hole-y,” gnawing wiring, and making a general nuisance of themselves. When one family of chipmunks moved into the space between the basement ceiling and the floor above for the winter, I took great offense. Something had to be done! I baited…
As we celebrate Father’s Day this Sunday, take some time to reflect on your relationship with your Heavenly Father. Regardless of what your experience has been with your earthly father, God has been and always will be your loving Heavenly Father. Listen to Galatians 4:6-7. “Because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his…
“This is what the Lord says: Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where is the house you will build for me? Where will my resting place be?” (Isaiah 66:1). God is looking for men and women who hear and obey when He speaks, who follow the truth He reveals and have…
You’ve blown it. You have really messed up. You have agreed with God that what you did was sin. You know that God heard your prayer asking forgiveness, and you really meant every word. You believe that Jesus died for you on the cross and that His sacrifice forgives all your sins. But you still…
For those of us who grew up celebrating the birth of Jesus, the Christmas story can become too familiar. It easily slips from a story of awe to simple facts of history. We rattle off these events, such as Mary gave birth to Jesus and then the shepherds and wise men came to see Him,…

There are three classes of people: those who have been in the desert, those still in the desert, and those who have your day coming in the desert. If you have been there, you need no explanation from me. If you haven’t been there, no words of mine will explain it to you. Being “on…
“Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2). Be blessed to understand and receive these blessings in spirit and in truth….
The first 23 words of The Lord’s Prayer are directed to God, His holiness, and worthiness to be worshiped. This beginning focuses us on the Person of God and keeps us there until we begin to understand His greatness and humble ourselves before Him. It points us toward God-consciousness, putting God on the throne, and…
Listen to the Word of God for you in Romans 8:14. “Those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.” Your heavenly Father blesses you with true biblical sonship. He wants you to receive it. Be blessed as he calls you to life, nurture, and enlargement. He is the source of…
