A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from his roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him—the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord— and He will delight in the fear of the Lord. Isa. 11:1-3
As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, the righteous shoot from the stem of Jesse, may your heart be filled with awe and wonder at the fulfillment of God’s divine plan that was conceived long before time began and was brought to fruition in the humble birth of our Savior.
This Christmas, may you see the fruit of God’s promises in your life, just as the Branch from Jesse has borne the fruit of salvation for all mankind. May you experience the richness of His grace, the depth of His mercy, and the abundance of His love that flows from the root of David, who reigns as our King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
As the Spirit of the Lord rested on Jesus, may that same Spirit rest upon you in this season and beyond. May you be filled with the spirit of wisdom and understanding, so that you may perceive the deep truths of God’s Word. May the spirit of counsel and strength be your guide, equipping you to make wise decisions and empowering you to stand firm in your faith, even in the face of challenges and trials.
May you delight in the fear of the Lord, just as Jesus did, finding your greatest joy in living a life that honors and reveres Him. May your life be marked by a deep reverence for God, leading you to walk in His ways with humility and obedience, and may you experience the peace that comes from trusting in His perfect judgment and His unfailing love.
This Christmas may you experience the fullness of the Spirit of the Lord resting upon you, filling you with wisdom, understanding, counsel, strength, knowledge, and the fear of the Lord. May you bear fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God and overflowing with thanksgiving for the indescribable gift of His Son.
