Show Notes

We’re back—and we’re returning to one of the very first resources we ever explored on The Father’s Business Podcast: For the Family.

But a lot has changed since we first recorded this series. Our families have changed. We have changed. And chances are, some things in your family have changed too.

In this new series, we’re asking an important question:

How do we deeply love the people God has given us without trying to carry them, fix them, control them, or do the work that only God can do?

Because family has a way of exposing us. We can be patient and gracious everywhere else—and then one person says one thing in the wrong tone and suddenly all that spiritual maturity feels a little harder to find.

This week, we’re talking about family systems, prayer, expectations, surrender, and what it means to truly join God in loving the people closest to us.

And this series isn’t only for parents or married couples. Whether your family includes adult children, siblings, parents, stepfamily, grandchildren, spiritual children, close friends, or relationships that have become complicated over the years—For the Family is for you.

Listen to the first episode and consider this question with us:

Father, what would it look like for me to love this person well without trying to do Your job in their life?

We’re so glad to be back with you.
